Fred William Westerman, 82, of Anderson, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 29th, 2019. Fred was born on October 4th, 1936 in Daleville, IN to Herbert Carl and Ruth (Costerison) Westerman. After graduating from Daleville High school, Fred married Esther Kay Chambers from Chesterfield, IN on Dec 8th, 1956 and later moved and lived in Anderson, IN. Fred retired from the Container Corporation in Anderson as a foreman. Fred enjoyed coaching and watching his daughters and grandchildren play baseball and softball. He was a self-taught woodworker and craftsman who also liked to camp, fish, watch the races, and play card games on the computer. He was an avid fan of Carrie Underwood and IU Basketball. Fred was preceded in death by his father Carl; mother, Ruth, and brother, Carl Jr. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Kay; his three daughters, Tammy Garrett, Tracie (Roland) Dodd, and Trudie (Douglas) Pyle; seven grandchildren, James Brewer, Benjamin Brewer, Kirk (Amanda) Ritenour, Brody Brewer, Andrew Pyle, Colton Dodd, and Kaycie Pyle; four great-grandchildren, Brent and Morgan Ritenour, Wyatt Brewer, and Kase Dodd, and his lifelong friend, Charlie Yarberry. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 14, 2019 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at The Community Room by Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN 46013.
