Franklin Daniel Eckrote II., 80, of Berwick passed away Sunday June 30, 2019 at Berwick Retirement Village II. He was born July 7, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Franklin D. and Marguerite (Bower) Eckrote. He graduated from Myers High School and attended Penn State University. Daniel retired from Blue Falcon Forge formerly Berwick Forge. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Daniel is survived by his wife the former Marlene Hess, whom he married February 1, 1964, son Gary Eckrote and wife Pamela of Honeybrook, PA, and three grandchildren; Austin, Emily, and Mitchell. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Eckrote, and sister Janet Eyet. Services will be Friday July 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bethany United Methodist Church, 116 Summerhill Ave, Berwick, PA 18603, with his pastor, Pastor Stephen Portner officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions in Daniel’s memory may be sent to Bethany United Methodist Church, 116 Summerhill Ave, Berwick, PA, 18603.
