Frances M. Ervin, 93, of Warsaw, Indiana passed at 6:59 pm, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw, Ind. She was born on May 2, 1926 in Akron, Indiana to Gordon and Edith (Vandermark) Young. She married on Feb. of 1946 in South Bend, Ind. to Orvil J. Ervin, he preceded her in April of 1953. Frances was a homemaker as well as working for Monsanto Company in Ligonier, Ind. retiring after 22 years. She attended Harrison Center Church as well as Cook’s Chapel. In years past she had been a member of the American Legion of Ligonier. She sang for many years in the Melloaire Singing Group traveling and singing at many nursing homes. She enjoyed crocheting and making many scrubbies. Survivors and place of residence: Daughter – Ruthie and husband Terry Rookstool – Warsaw, Ind. Sons – Tom and wife Barb Ervin – Ligonier, Ind. Donald and wife Regina Ervin – Warsaw, Ind. 11 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren 8 Great Great Grandchildren Preceded in Death By: Husband – Orvil Ervin Son – Larry Ervin Brothers – Everett and Charles Young Sisters – Opal Epler, Doris Ann Young, Mary A. Pike, and Margaret Yeater Grandchildren – Steven Phillip Rookstool, Teresa Martin, and Morningstar Osborn Time and Date of Services: 10:30 am, Monday, July 8, 2019 Place of Services: King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana Minister: Pastor Aaron Talbert Place of Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana Visitation Hours: 2 pm to 5 pm, Sunday, July 7, 2019 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, Indiana Donations can be made in her memory to the donor’s choice charity.
