Heaven gained an angel…Eugenia Tzortzopoulos went to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the age of 103. She was surrounded by her loving daughter, Maria & close family friends. Born in Kalamata, Greece on February 18, 1916 to the late Pericles & Paraskevi Leventis. In addition to her parents, Eugenia was preceded in death by her loving husband, George of 31 years; her sister, Katina & brother, Panayioti. She is survived by her only daughter, Maria & numerous nieces & nephews. Eugenia was an active member of the Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church in Aliquippa; GAPA & the Senior Citizens Organizations. She delighted in giving generously of her many talents which included cooking, baking & gardening. She was deeply rooted in her Orthodox faith & Greek culture & traditions. Her love brought warmth to all who surrounded her through her genuine hospitality. Her presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 2pm – 6pm at Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home, Inc., 2026 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001; www.mastrofrancescofuneralhome.com. Trisagion service is scheduled for 5:45 pm. The funeral will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 2111 Davidson St., Aliquippa, PA 15001. Eugenia will lie in state from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10am with Fr. Yanni Virginis officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
