Born January 1, 1938 and Died July 28, 2019. Mr. Giers was preceded in death by his parents: Jean Joseph and Helen Edward Giers and by his wife: Evelyn Virginia Edwards Giers, and a brother: Charles Lee Giers. His survivors include: Jan Brown (Bill), Adelia Stover (Allen), Charles Giers (Amy), Theodore (Cat). He also had Ten Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. Ernest Passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his children. He was a member of IBEW 429, and a member of the Valhermoso Springs First Christian Church. After his retirement, he farmed and raised cattle. He was loved by many friends and his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held by his children and friends at Valhermoso Springs First Christian Church on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers; his children request memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association. Peck Funeral Home assisted the family.
