Eric D. Roark, 38, of Springfield passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 in Columbus after a short illness. He was born July 3, 1980 in Dayton to Charles Duane and Carol Wiles Roark. He was a graduate of Wright State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Eric loved spending time with his family and introducing his sons to the things he enjoyed liked gaming, archery, Star Wars, and all things comics. He was a proud nerd, everyone’s tech support, and more often than not, the funniest guy in the room. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Tajia Bucci Roark, three children; Declan, Gideon, and Orion, his supportive parents, a sister Erin Beair, brother-in-law Ben Beair, their children; Avery, Nyla, and Emma, Grandmothers Wilma Wiles and Lee Weaver, parents-in-law Jack and Karen Bucci, sister-in-law Daina Bucci, her child Parker, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and close friends that were like family. While he may never have achieved his lifelong goal of becoming Batman, he was, and will always be, a superhero to his family. A luncheon in celebration of Eric’s life will be held at the Enon VFW on Saturday, July 13th from 2pm -6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations for his children can be made to the Eric Roark Memorial account at any Fifth Third Bank or online at www.paypal.me/EricRoarkMemorial.
