Of Wellesley Hills, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening July 23rd, 2019 with his loving daughter by his side in Maplewood of Weston at the age of 73. Born on July 18, 1946 in Filicudi, Italy; beloved son of Rosa (Bonica) Santamaria of Weston and the late Jose’ Santamaria, Enrico immigrated to the United States as a young man at the age of 21 from Argentina and resided with family in Waltham before moving to Newton for 12 years and then to Wellesley Hills for the past 33 years. Enrico was employed as a Controller for the Xerox Corporation for many years. He owned and operated with his late wife the “Dannah Collection”; an antique gift shop in Kennebunkport, Maine. He loved to be outdoors in his garden; he loved cooking; he enjoyed walking, traveling and collecting antiques. His greatest joy in life came from be around his family especially his grandchildren. Enrico was predeceased by the love of his life Marta Rose (Bonica) Santamaria in 2008. He is survived by his son Sergio Bonica Santamaria of New York and his devoted & loving daughter Cristina Bonica Santamaria of Needham; his cherished granddaughters Emilia Rose Hess, Liliana Gabriella Hess and Giuliana Marta Hess; his dear sister Angela Ernesta Santamaria of Argentina; and his adoring nieces Florencia and Romina Gavagna both of Argentina. In addition he is survived by extended family in Australia, Argentina, Filicudi and Waltham. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Enrico’s Life in Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, WESTON on Saturday morning July 27th at 10:30 a.m. The Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels of WALTHAM assisted the Santamaria Family with arrangements.
