Donna’s Obituary Memorial service for Donna Lee Carter, 79, of Edgewood, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Edgewood Church of Christ with Mr. Ken Maddox officiating. She passed away Friday night, July 5, 2019, at a hospital in Tyler. Donna was born December 22, 1939, in Dallas, the daughter of Leroy Waggoner and Vivian Eileen Allen Waggoner. She was raised in Irving and was a graduate of Irving High School in 1958. She received her Associates Degree at Tyler Junior College. Donna lived in Irving prior to moving to Edgewood in 1979. She was formerly employed as a postal clerk for the Canton, Edgewood and White House Post Offices, retiring in 2001. Donna loved art and ceramics, but her passion was genealogy. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Donna was a member of the Canton Genealogical Library and the Edgewood Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Vivian Waggoner; sister, Sharon Parks and a brother, Allen Rance Waggoner. Donna is survived by two sons, Douglas Niles Carter, of Crosby and Guy Nelson Carter & wife, Lisa, of Lewisville; daughters, Torri Lee Beard & husband, Ty, of Tyler; brother, Roy Lee Waggoner & wife, Terri, of Bowie and three grandchildren, Brianna Beard, Brittany Beard and Brooke Carter.
