Woodrow Don Ross, 71, of Gilmer, passed away June 18, 2019, at The Hospice of East Texas. He was born June 7, 1948, in Upshur County, the son of Wilson and Virginia Ross. Don graduated from Gilmer High School and Kilgore Junior College. He married Susan Pool and settled in Rosewood. They celebrated 42 years of marriage on June 11th. Don was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 745 and worked a combined 39 years for Southwestern Transportation and ABF Freight. He is survived by his wife, Susan Ross; brother, David Ross and wife, Terri; father in law, Moody Pool; brother in law, Joe M. Pool and wife, Ava; nephews, Chance Ross and Collin Ross; Jeffrey Pool and wife, Andrea & their children, Henry and Lillian; Michael Pool and wife, Kirby, & their children, Eli, Ethan & Elyssa; and niece, Kristin Pool, which he loved dearly. A graveside service will be held at Rosewood Cemetery, 11:00 am, Saturday, June 22, 2019, with Bro. Michael Pool and Bro. Leon Ross officiating.
