Dean Kondos, 90, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, July 8, 2019 at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bagley, MN. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019 at Real Life Christian Fellowship Church, Wilton with Pastor Keith Willard officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bemidji. Dean Kondos was born September 19, 1928 in Grand Forks, ND to John and Lillian (Thunberg) Kondos. At a young age they moved to Bemidji where he attended school. He joined the Navy at age 17 and served in the Pacific Theater on the USS Beltrami. On September 30, 1956 he married Donna Gregory. They made their home in Bemidji. Dean drove truck and then worked as a partsman for Bemidji Auto Parts for over 30 years. He was an uncomplicated man who enjoyed fishing, working in his workshop, playing cards with his friends and cutting grass. Left to cherish his memory are daughter, Linda Gustafson of Bemidji; 3 sons, Dan (Vicki) Kondos of Ely, Gregory Kondos of Bemidji and Timothy (Kim) Kondos of Bemidji; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
