David A Fankhauser 2019

2019
David A. Fankhauser, 82, of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at his home. David was born of Swiss parentage in Princeton and raised his family in Hamilton Square. He worked as a chemical technician for Lyondell until his retirement. David lived a simple life and deliberately left a small footprint on this earth. He had a strong sense of himself and lived accordingly; he was honorable and gentlemanly. He was a consummate and attentive conversationalist and, notwithstanding a solid stubborn streak, was always open to other points of view. He was well-read and had a broad range of interests (including a lifelong love of the St. Louis Cardinals) that made him a fine companion and friend. David was loved by his extended family and friends and will be dearly missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerhard and Erna Koestler Fankhauser; his sister Marguerite; and his son, Glenn. He is survived by his two sons, Seth D. Fankhauser of Fort Worth, TX and Jared C. Fankhauser of New York, NY; his sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Robert Dewell of Cooperstown, NY; and his former wife, Alice Ann Fankhauser of Washington Crossing, PA. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice, by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org. Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of David A Fankhauser 2019.
