David Harold Towler, 66, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was born November 26, 1952 in Ashland, the son of the late Harold and Opal Hammond Towler. David attended Boyd County High School, Rio Grande University and graduated from the University of Kentucky, majoring in Social Studies. He taught for 28 years in the Boyd and Carter County School Systems. He coached basketball for Boyd County High School for 20 years. He was also a member of the Ashland Elks B.P.O.E. #350. David leaves behind a brother, Steve Towler and his wife Gail of Ashland; a sister, Ann Towler Davis and her husband Glen of Oak Hill, OH; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Barbara Crum. At his request, there will be no visitation or services. In memory of David, donations may be made the church or charity of your choice.
