Danny D. Hill, 75, of Hamburg, died Saturday, July 20, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Hill was a native of Lake Village, a resident of Hamburg for the past 30 years and a former resident of Crossett. He was a 1963 graduate of Crossett High School, and he worked for Allied Phone Company for 17 years. Mr. Hill was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, south of Hamburg, and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, where he had served as Chaplin. He enjoyed hunting, playing music, riding motorcycles, was a gunsmith and a gun collector. He loved his family, and spending time with them was very important to him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Randolph & Edith Wilson Hill and a brother, Robin W. “Sandy” Hill He is survived by his son, Jason Hill and wife, Christi, of West Monroe, Louisiana; a daughter, Kimberly Hutchins of Tyler, Texas; a sister, Diane Hill Merriweather and husband, Danny; a brother, Randy Hill and wife, Sharon, all of Crossett; four grandchildren, Zachry Hutchins, Britney Hill, Arizona Hutchins and Destiny Hill and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Merriweather and Randy Hill officiating. A private burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Winn, Hardy Sawyer, Derek Hill, Daniel Hill, Heath White, Andy Johnson, and Danish Yazdani. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Wednesday in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel.
