Memorial services for Daniel E. Yotter, age 56, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Boorsma will officiate. Friends may greet the family from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Daniel passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Daniel Earl Yotter was born on November 13, 1962 in Slayton, Minnesota, the son of Ralph and Patricia (Mitchell) Yotter. He grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1981. Daniel went on to attend the Albert Lea Vo-Tech diesel mechanic program. He worked as a mechanic for Crossroads Trailer. Daniel married Derrice Erickson though the couple later divorced. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Daniel enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, motorcycling, and country music. He volunteered with Sunset Saddle Club. Daniel loved spending time with family and friends. Daniel is survived by his parents, Ralph and Patricia; children, Blake Yotter (Jenn Bishop), Skye Yotter (Jarod Martin), and Logan Yotter; brothers, David Yotter, Dennis (Julie) Yotter, Doug (Shelly) Yotter; sisters, Bonnie Villarreal and Julie (Kevin) Kvenvold; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, and uncles. Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
