Dan’s Obituary Dan Raymond (Danny) Trout, 72, of Hooks, TX, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019, in a local nursing center. He was born January 18, 1947, in Texarkana, AR. He was co-owner of J.C. Trout Furniture and Appliance in Hooks, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Hooks. He was an All-Tournament player and MVP for the Hooks Hornets in basketball, tennis, football and baseball. His love of baseball urged him to become a Little League Baseball coach. He also enjoyed golf, and was involved in many church activities such as Sunday School teacher, church camp sponsor and was a bus driver for his church. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Lucy Trout of Irving, TX, and Eddie and Jean Trout of Hooks; two sisters and a brother-in-law, JoAnn Hoppe and Beth and Larry Allen of Hooks; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
