Dallas Edward “Eddie” England, 53, of Columbus, died at 9:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Eddie was born September 24, 1956, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the son of Dallas Ledford and Virginia Evelyn Bailey England. He graduated Columbus East High School in 1986. Eddie obtained his Associates Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington a short time later. Eddie worked as a machinist at NTN Driveshaft for 13 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and working on Ford Mustangs. His real passion was riding sport motorcycles of all makes. Survivors include his children, Eric Hunter of Columbus, Jessica (Tanner) Smart of Phoenix, AZ., Dallas C. (Megan) England of Greencastle, IN.; grandchildren, Oliver England, Allison England, Bennett Smart; mother, Virginia England of Columbus; Uncle, James (Faye) Bailey of Glasgow, KY., aunts, Mary (Stephen) Wages of Canton, Il., Jean Bailey of Peoria, Il., Louise Birson of Lewiston, Il., Diane, several nieces and nephews; longtime friends and coworkers, Decker and Jim Elkins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Ledford England; uncles, Bill Curtis, David Bailey, Ray Bailey, Darrel Lewis; aunts, Barbara Golden and Marie Cooley. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver and Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Chaplin Ron Bridgewater officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
