Corine Gutierrez, 80, took the journey to the lord on July 29, 2019. She married Santiago Gutierrez on September 20, 1958 and they began their life together, having 8 children. Sons, Steve (wife Ana), Daniel, David, Peter (Wife Becky), Julian (wife Jeannette), Jerome (wife Christy), Phillip (wife Ashley), and daughter Edwina. She has 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elfego and Demetria Baca; and siblings, Monico Baca and Theresa McBride. Corine was an active member of St. Edwin’s Church where she participated in the choir for 15 years. She loved to play the guitar; she was self-taught and was always willing to play for any function and never said no when asked. Above all….she loved her family. She was a soldier for our Lord Jesus Christ by her constant prayers to protect us from evil, for her continued thoughts of others, and for her unconditional love for friends, family and anyone she was around. Visitation will take place Friday, August 2, 2019, from 10:00 am-10:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro. Rosary to be recited at 10:30 am with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am with Celebrant Peter Mueller. Burial will take place at Magdalena Cemetery following the reception at the San Miguel Parish Hall. Pallbearers will be Daniel Gutierrez, Peter Gutierrez, Julian Gutierrez, Jerome Gutierrez, Phillip Gutierrez, Elias Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Gutierrez, David Gutierrez.
