Connie “Joanne” Hubbs, of Boss, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the age of 80. Joanne was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 24, 1939 to Alan and Margaret (Meade) Sullivan. Joanne lived in Boss, Missouri most of her life . When her father left when she was a child, her mother re-married Clyde Camden. This is who Joanne called dad, he was good to their mother, and treated the children as his own. After leaving home Joanne worked in Salem, Missouri for several clothing factories, including, Hagales, and International Shoe. She also worked for Amex Lead Company, and Bailey Genco. She was a very hard worker, who always took care of her children. Her family was very important and spending time doing fun things was always a priority. She collected Post Cards, loved Blue Grass music; she loved to crack walnuts, and cook. In her later years she became a “cattle herder” and watched over Brads cattle, this was a job that she took very seriously, Brad’s cattle had never been in better hands. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be lovingly missed by all that knew and loved her. Joanne is survived by her children, Brad Hubbs and wife Mellisa of Viburnum, MO, Angie Brooks and husband Barry, of Viburnum, MO, Jequetta Curley and husband Mike, of Viburnum, MO, Vanessa Roper and husband Rodney, of Wappapello, MO, and Darrich Hubbs, of Viburnum, MO; brother, Johnzy “Gerald” Sullivan, of Salem, MO; step-brother, Monte Camden and wife Marilyn, of Festus, MO; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 4great-great-grandchildren, a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents Clyde and Margaret Camden, Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Lee Hubbs, and nephew, Kevin Sullivan. Funeral services for Connie Joanne Hubbs will be Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastors Paul Davis, and Melvin Meade officiating. Internment will be at the Camden Cemetery in Boss, Missouri with grandsons, Jason Brooks, Ronnie Roper, Tyler Hedrick, Ethan Hedrick, Brant Hubbs, Brandon Hubbs, and Brayson Hubbs serving as pallbearers, and Matt Elder serving as honorary pallbearer. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 6-8PM.
