Clara T.’s Obituary Brown, Clara T. (VanSlyke) Ypsilanti, MI Age 95, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born May 19, 1924 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Russell James and Anna Mary (Scott) VanSlyke. She is survived by five children, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. The funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1043 W. Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti with Pastor Jerry Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Good Samaritan Program at Brown Chapel. Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service where visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday and the family hour will be at the church from 10 am until time of service Wednesday. Read More
