Chester’s Obituary Survived by His wife, Rhonda Wood; one daughter, Laura Rumfelt (David) of Conway, MO; one son, Daniel Wood (Stephanie) of Hillsboro, MO; one brother, Terry Wood of Marshfield, MO; one sister, Connie Jenkins (Dr. Leon Jenkins) of Lebanon, MO; nine grandchildren; Briana Wood, Devin Wood, Hudson Wood, Archer Wood, Alexa Ladyman, Amanda Bradley (Shane), Rebecca Weber (Isaac), Hannah Eldridge (Clay), and Olivia Rumfelt; six great-grandchildren, Nolan, Wren, Chris, Conner, Jay, Kirel; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by His parents, Ivan Emmitt and Mary Vivian Beard Wood; one brother, Paul Wood; one sister, JoAnn Garza. After graduating from Conway High School in 1962, Chester was drafted into the United States Army, where he served from 1968-1969, in Vietnam and received two Purple Hearts. When he returned to the Lebanon community, he worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company, transferred mail for the United States Post Office and also worked for Montgomery Ward for several years. He opened WW Discount Tires in the early 1980’s. He was the owner and operator for the next thirty-six years, selling the business on June 21, 2019.
