Charles L. Benedict, 66, of David City died at his home of natural causes on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Charles was a member of the US Army, serving from 1971-1983, attaining the rank of Sargeant. He was awared an Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Army Commendation Medal. After his discharge, he worked at various jobs until his health wouldn’t allow him to continuing working. Chuck has no known surviving family members. He will be buried at Omaha National Cemetery with full military honors. Thank you, Chuck, for serving our country and defending our freedom. May you rest in eternal peace and comfort.
