Charles’ Obituary Charles Greene Colquitt, III Charles Greene Colquitt, III age 80, of Texarkana, Texas formerly of Lewisville, Arkansas, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in a DeKalb, Texas, nursing home. Mr. Colquitt was born October 9, 1938, in Magnolia, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Magnolia High School and a member of First Baptist Church Lewisville, Arkansas. He was retired CEO and Chairman of First National Bank in Tom Bean, Texas and former CEO and President of First National Bank, Lewisville, Arkansas. Mr. Colquitt was also Director of Revenue Requirement at Townes Telecommunications, Inc. Charles was former band director at Lewisville High School where he passed on the passion and love of music to his students. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and while stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana he played the 1st clarinet and 1st Tenor Saxophone in the 745th Air Force Band. He earned a Master of Music degree at Northeast Louisiana University studying conducting under Dr. Joe Barry and received his Bachelor of Music Education at Southern Arkansas University. Throughout his life, he served on many boards including SAU Alumni. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Donna Jo Colquitt of Texarkana, Texas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Don an Letha Colquitt of Texarkana, Texas, Scott and Krista Colquitt of San Cruz, California, one brother, Robert Colquitt of Magnolia, Arkansas, one sister, Mary Alice Colquitt of Magnolia, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Adrianne Colquitt of Cookeville, Tennessee, Miles Colquitt of Dallas, Texas, Donna Kay Moore and her husband Colt of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ryan Hadaway and his wife Jocelyn of Texarkana, Texas, Lance Hadaway of Texarkana, Arkansas, four great-grandchildren, Elliot Moore, Lucy Moore, Leland Moore and Kohen Hadaway and a host of friends and other relatives. A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Charlie Zumwalt officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
