Catherine “Catie” Conover, 70, of Syracuse, NY died comfortably at home with family after a long illness on June 24, 2019. She was receiving hospice care at the time of her death. Her husband of 21 years, Lawrence Conover, died in 1997. Catie is survived by her two daughters: Laura Shea Fullmer (Christopher) of Syracuse, NY and Sara Conover Dusenberry (Joel) of Palmyra, VA; seven grandchildren: Tyler Conover (Rylie Czarnecki), Ayah, Yousef, Derryn, Gavin, William and Dalyla Shea. She is also survived by four sisters: Eileen Rosecrants and Joan Shea of Syracuse, NY and Noreen Shea and Mary Shea of Sacramento, CA; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Catie worked in service her whole life as a teacher and nurse, but more importantly, as a mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed writing poetry and collecting and identifying antiques. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. Catie will be buried alongside her husband at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Catie will be welcomed at Francis House of Syracuse, NY Leave a condolence for the family on the Tribute Wall
