Carl J. “J.C.” Brown June 04, 1938 – July 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Carl J. “J.C.” Brown, 81, of Payneville, KY (Andyville) passed away July 4, 2019 at home. J.C. was born June 4, 1938 in Meade County, KY to the late Talbert and Della Mae Barley Brown. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Margaret Wanda Hardesty Brown; a daughter, Sandra Kay “KK” Bohannon; step-son, James Richard “Jim” Maysey, Jr.; two brothers, Mitch and William “Jack” Brown; and a sister, Mary Evelyn Poole. J.C. was Baptist by faith. He retired as a logger, timber cutter and was the former owner of Brown’s Logging. He was the past president of the Yellowbank Sportsmen Club and he liked to hunt and trap shoot. The most important thing to him was spending time with family and friends. He always said, “If you can’t say anything good about somebody, don’t say anything.” JC always looked for the good in other people and enjoyed helping people. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou King Brown; daughter, Lois Ann (Ralph) Daugherty; son, Carl Jeffrey “Pete” (Debbie) Brown; step-son, Jeffrey Mark (Kathy) Maysey; twin brother, H.C. (Linda) Brown; sister, Betty Jean Gonterman; son-in-law, Robbie Bohannon; step daughter-in-law, Tina Maysey; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 at 12:00 PM EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg with burial to follow in Mt. Merino Cemetery in Irvington. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM EDT and Monday after 9:00 AM at the funeral home.
