Caraway’s Obituary Mr. Richard Preston Caraway passed from this life on Thursday, July 18,2019, in Hardtner Medical Center of Urania, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Richard was born to the union of Ben and Ida (Brewer) Caraway. He always presented you with a smile, no matter how he felt, was an individual loved by all. He spent his working career as an equipment operator with the Louisiana state highway department. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Reta (Green) Caraway, two sons Dennis Caraway of Olla , Louisiana, DeWayne Caraway and wife Marilyn of Tullos, Louisiana, three daughters Sandra Caraway of Olla, Louisiana, Brenda Jeffers and husband Leon of Alexandria, Louisiana, Gwen Warren of Summerville Louisiana, one son Michael Couch and wife Tammy of Summerville, Louisiana, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Ida Caraway, sisters Mary Dickey, Mildred McQuillon, Verda Caraway, and Lucille Green. His brothers Harold Caraway, Chester Caraway, Harvey Caraway, Norman Caraway, Elton Caraway, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 10:00AM until 2:00PM in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 2:00Pm, following visitation in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Lavillion Jordon, and Jesse Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery of Summerville, Louisiana under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena, Louisiana. Read More
