C. Allen “Kat” Jackson, 80, of Crestview Road, Breezewood; passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 12, 1938 in Washington D.C.; a son of the late John C. and L. Grace (Taylor) Jackson. On March 18, 1961 in the Mt. Chapel Church, Breezewood he was united in marriage to Elsie B. (Mellott) Jackson. Along with his wife he is survived by daughter Pamela J. married to James Deshong, Hopewell, PA; grandchildren Amber L. Gowin and Dustin A. Deshong; great-grandson Blakely R. Teeters and brothers James Jackson and Herbert Jackson married to Dorothy. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Karen Diane Jackson. Allen was of the Protestant Faith. He was employed at Breezewood Truck Plaza for over thirty years as a fuel attendant later working at Bob Evans Restaurant until his retirement in 2002. He loved listening to his cassette tape collection of music and watching his television shows, especially the Andy Griffith show. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Maxwell Officiating. Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Allen to the Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Rd, Bedford, PA 15522.
