Mr. Bryant Eugene (Bevis) Deems, age 54, of Cedartown, GA passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in a Rome medical center. Bryant was born in Rome, GA on February 24, 1965 the son of Jimmy Deems and Rachel Smith Deems. He had lived all of his life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a twenty three year employee of AGRO Merchants Group (Nordic Frozen Foods) in Rockmart. Bryant enjoyed watching NASCARA racing, hunting and fishing, attending Rome Braves games and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Davis Deems of Cedartown to whom he was married on October 2, 1982; two children: Eugene Deems and Julie Ledbetter both of Cedartown; parents, Jimmy and Rachel Deems, Aragon; sister, Donna Clark (Ron), Rockmart. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating and eulogies by Larry & Barry Tant. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Bryant Eugene (Bevis) Deems.
