Brian’s Obituary Brian Christopher Dauphinais, age 29, of Mason, passed away on February 2, 2019. He was born October 30, 1989 in Ashland, the son of Raymond and Theresa “Joni” (Seipel) Dauphinais. Brian is survived by his father, 3 sisters, Sarah Dauphinais, River Falls, WI, Diana (Tyler) Blain, Orem, Utah, and Charlotte Dauphinais; 2 brothers, Scott (Kayla) Dauphinais, Richfield,WI and Adam (Sarah) Dauphinais, St. Louis, MO; 2 nieces, Aubrey Blain and Autumn Dauphinais; 4 nephews, Owen Dauphinais, Logan Blain, William Dauphinais, and Marshall Blain. He is preceded in death by his mother. Brian attended Drummond School until he transferred to Mellen after his sophomore year, graduating in 2008. He then attended Northland College, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Environmental Science and minoring in Biololgy. After graduating from Northland he began his PhD at the University of Southern Mississippi, studying Polymer Engineering. Before finishing his PhD he returned home to assist his father in taking care of his Mother during her final years. While at Northland he achieved the Dean List several times. He also co-authored 2 national publications: Synthesis of High Molecular Weight Polyesters via In Vacuo Dehydrogenation Polymerization of Diols; and Controlled Hydrogenative Depolymerization of Polyesters and Polycarbonates Catalyzed by Ruthenium (II) PNN Pincer Complexes. He also received 3 scholarships while attending Northland: the Lake Superior Scholarship; the Lockhart Scholarship; and the Legacy Scholarship. During his high school career he participated on the high school basketball teams for Drummond and Mellen. He also enjoyed fishing with his father and watching sports on television with him. His favorite teams to watch were the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball teams. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July, 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1405 Binsfield Rd, Ashland, WI.
