Brenda Joyce Matthews 75 of Conover died Monday, July 8, 2019 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born February 13th, 1944 she was the daughter of Berlie Leonard Michael Sr. and Doris Eloise Michael. She loved her family and enjoyed crafting. Her husband of 53 years, Glenn Marshell Matthews; sons, Jereme Matthews (Shannon) and Eric Matthews (Tonia); Grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Logan, Hunter, and Holden; Brothers, Berlie Michael Jr (Erica) and David Michael (Jeanne) survive her. Her son William Matthews; and her brother Jerry Michael preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 12th, 2019 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm Thursday, July 11th, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
