Betty Jo Howard Tisdale, 75, passed away on July 23, 2019. A native of Greenville County, daughter of Viola Howard Miles of Duncan and the late Ansel Howard, she was a retired employee of Dixie Packaging and attended Bible Baptist Church in Landrum. Surviving in addition to her mother are one son, Michael Pruitt (Rhonda) of Greer; one brother, Ray Howard of Greer; three sisters, Lucille Bogan and Carolyn Solesbee both of Greer and Patty Howard of Landrum; her sweetheart, Carroll Campbell of Greer and two grandchildren, Bradley Pruitt and Kelsey Pruitt. Mrs. Tisdale was predeceased by her first husband, David Pruitt, a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Beth Pruitt, and one grandchild, Lexie Pruitt. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Tommy Turner. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Pete Campbell, Larry Huffman, Brian Sadler and Gene Fowler. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. The family is at the home of the son, Michael Pruitt.
