Betty C. Hosmer, 86, of Hueytown, passed away July 23, 2019. Betty graduated from Bessemer High School, and retired from the State of Alabama. She was a member of Hueytown Baptist Church. Betty was preceded by her husband of 50 plus years, Joe Lloyd Hosmer; son Eddie Hosmer; parents Ernest and Zudye Cofer; and brothers Bobby, Frank, and Billy Cofer. She is survived by her children Joey Hosmer (Linda), and Jay Hosmer (Stephanie); grandchildren Josh Hosmer (Kerrie), Kim Hosmer, Elizabeth Hosmer, Megan Hosmer, Brian Kirby, and Kelli Kirby; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Jane Silvers (Jimmy); and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Watts and Rev.
