Arnold’s Obituary Arnold Wegener, Sr., 87, of Goshen, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Courtyard Healthcare. He was born Aug. 23, 1931 in Jesteburg, Germany to Adolf and Erna (Rang) Wegener. On Aug. 23, 1952 he married Melitta L. Komm in Germany. She died July 31, 2003. Survivors include four children, Giesela (Thomas) Suplee and Werner (Melody) Wegener, both of New Paris and Annelie (John) Morse and Arnold (Carmen) Wegener, Jr. both of Goshen; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. A dairy farmer, Mr. Wegener belonged to the Dairy Farmers of America and was a former teamster member. He also worked at Goshen Dairy and Burger Dairy. Visitation will be Friday, July 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. There will also be visitation Saturday from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Faith Lutheran Church, Greene Road, where he was a member. Burial will follow in Miller 8 Square Cemetery.
