Arlene’s Obituary Arlene Marion Hassenmayer, 68, passed away on July 10, 2019 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA. Born on May 4, 1951 in Pittsfield, MA she was the daughter of the late Leon and Marion Klein Andrews. Arlene graduated from Pittsfield High School. She went on and graduated from the nursing program at Berkshire Community College and later received her degree in social services from North Adams State. She worked at Fairview Hospital in the early 80’s and then went to work for the state at the D.M.R. facility on Valentine Road in Pittsfield. Arlene married her husband William Hassenmayer on June 1, 2004 at Portage Glacier in Alaska. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and animals. She had a cat and bird that she doted on. She was honest and straight forward but most of all Arlene will be remembered as a loving and caring woman. Along with her husband, William, she is survived by one son Wesley Wright from Carriere, MS. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Donald Andrews. All funeral arrangements are private.
