Arden G. Spath, age 86, of Huntington, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at 12:08 am at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. He had worked at Schadt Manufacturing, Neter’s Bakery, Turtle Creek Nursing Home, Southtown Mall, Bob Miller’s Pharmacy, Millers Merry Manor, and retired from Pathfinders Rehabilitation of Indiana where he worked as manager of interstate rest areas for 18 years. He enjoyed old cars, especially Thunderbirds. Arden was born November 24, 1932, in Huntington, a son of Calvin and Lillian (Yokum) Spath. He is survived by 3 daughters Lyla M. Spath of Muncie, Trudy S. Spath of Fort Wayne, and Vickie R. Hughes of Ripon, Wisconsin, companion Charlotte Slater of Huntington, granddaughters Alexandria Spath and Emily Hughes, and sister Angelyn Ramirez of Loveland, Colorado. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16 from 12-2 pm preceding the 2:00 pm funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel. Pastor Gus Hacker will officiate. Burial will follow in Funk Cemetery, Huntington. Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor’s choice c/o Deal-Rice Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750
