Antonio Oliveira Paulo, 84, passed away July 8, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Alcobaca, Portugal to the late Jose and Herminia (Oliveira) Paulo, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1953 and was a Ludlow resident for many years. Antonio retired after 35 years at Uniroyal and had also worked as a self-employed car dealer. He was a member of the Lusitano Club in Ludlow and the Portuguese-American Club of Chicopee. He coached and played soccer for many years and was an avid Sportinguista. He enjoyed playing cards with friends. He leaves his companion, Theresa Graham of Ludlow; his children: Dede Rodrigues and her husband Agostinho of Ludlow, Antonio Paulo Costa of Northampton, and Mario Paulo of CA; a sister, Cristina Afonso of FL; grandchildren Angelia, Gus, Siearra, and Ashley and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Daniel Paulo and siblings Joaquim, Jacinto, Maria, Silvestre, Laurinda and Fernando. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 5-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard followed by a Prayer Service at 7pm.
