Annie Martha’s Obituary Annie Martha Logan Whitehead, 91, of Marietta, passed away, Sunday, June 30, 2019. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, July 2nd at Piedmont Road Church of Christ 1630 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA with Minister David Decker officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service. A graveside service will be held 10:00 CST Wednesday, July 3rd in Memory Hill Cemetery 2414 Hartford Hwy., Dothan, AL 36305 Martha was born June 5, 1928 to the late William T. Logan and Ethel Mae Ziglar Logan of Dale County, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Melton Mark Whitehead, her parents, four siblings and a great grandson. Martha attended Dale County High School in Ozark, AL. She married Melton Whitehead on January 6, 1950 and spent her adult life as a homemaker. Martha was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, studying the bible and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was a member of the North Cobb Church of Christ and was a faithful servant. She is survived by her sons; David Whitehead of Marietta, GA., Paul Whitehead (Elaine) of Mobile, AL,. Matt Whitehead (Michelle) of Forsyth, GA and a daughter Kim Chalmers (Michael) of Huntsville, AL., 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, and many nieces and nephews.
