Gloria Annette Lewis, daughter of Ira Cleatis and Annabelle Bryant, was born on February 9, 1941 at home in Everman, Texas. At a very young age, Annette learned what it meant to be strong. She not only stood her ground with her brothers but also fought off polio and scarlet fever. In her spare time, when she wasn’t at school or church, she enjoyed twirling her baton. Annette was united in holy matrimony to Roy Lee Lewis on December 23, 1955. This union was blessed with four sons. They were faithfully wed for 63 years and rarely left each other’s side. She joined her sweetheart in Heaven, June 20, 2019 surrounded by her sons, family and friends. Annette was a devout wife and a faithful Christian. She followed and supported her husband Roy in all of his endeavors. She enjoyed singing church hymns and had a passionate green thumb. Her numerous flowerbeds and vegetable gardens were the talk of the town and she often shared the bounty of those gardens with others. Raising her four sons, she taught her boys to follow the word of God and do everything with the right intentions no matter the circumstance. She engraved kindness and love in their hearts and taught them to never be ashamed. As a grandmother, in the summer time you could always find her and her grandkids working outside in the yard or enjoying big slices of watermelon that Roy would bring home. She also loved being in the kitchen fixing homemade meals for her family and working on her puzzles. Annette was full of grit and determination but also had a kind and loving soul. If you knew Annette, you knew she treated you like family. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Annette is preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee, her parents Ira Cleatis Bryant and Annabelle Bryant, and brother Richard Bryant. She is survived by her brother Cleatis Bryant and her four sons Randy Lewis and wife Frankie; Steven Lewis and wife Chris; Michael Lewis, and Kevin Lewis and wife Michelle. Her grandchildren, Vanessa Kelly (Kristopher Kelly), Kyle Lewis (Melissa Lewis), Coby Lewis (Lina Gamez Lewis), Chelsey Wetzel (Brandon Wetzel), Tanner Lewis, Brooke Lewis, Kailey Lewis and Chase Pritchett.
