Andrew “Drew”‘s Obituary Andrew “Drew” Richard Davis, 63, of Fort Collins passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2019. Drew was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on October 10th, 1955 to Donald “Don” and Elizabeth “Betty” Davis. Drew moved from Clinton, New Jersey to Colorado with his family in 1972. Drew married his wife, Jeralyn “Jeri”, on July 25th, 1992. They welcomed their daughter, Kalli Nicole Davis, on October 20th, 1993. Drew will be best remembered as a loving, caring, generous husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He never met a stranger, never hesitated to lend a hand, share a story, advice, or a laugh. Drew was widely involved in various organizations including Larimer County Search and Rescue, Western State College Search and Rescue, Mountain Rescue Association, Colorado Search and Rescue Board, National Association of Search and Rescue, County Sheriffs of Colorado, Colorado Association of Road Supervisors and Engineers, Larimer County Incident Operations Command, National Incident Management Team, GIS-T, as well as being an instructor for Search and Rescue, Fire, and Incident Command. During his time with Larimer County, Drew received the 2012 Innovation Award and the 2013 Innovation Award. Drew’s career included being a project manager and leader in developing and implementing numerous programs into the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department, Search and Rescue, and throughout Larimer County, including the broadband initiative. Drew is survived by his wife Jeri (Rankin) Davis, daughter Kalli Davis, sister Jane Boyack, brother Robert Davis, parents Don and Betty Davis, mother-in-law Joanne “Jodie” Rankin, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews, Lazz and Izzy. Per Drew’s request, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 20th, 2019 at Lucky Joe’s, 25 Old Town Square, Fort Collins, CO 80526, from 1-3pm. Please bring a picture and/or a favorite memory of Drew to include in the guest book.
