Alice L. Wiseman, age 88 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2019. She was born on July 31, 1930 in Michigan City, IN to Roy and Marie Lansberg, both of whom preceded her in death. On July 31, 1949 in Michigan City, IN she married Donald Wiseman, who preceded her in death. Alice is survived by her loving children: Mike (Rhonda) Wiseman of Porter, IN, Bob (Linda) Wiseman of Chesterton, IN, Daniel (Tammy) Wiseman of Chesterton, IN, Diane (Daren) Bogue of Chesterton, IN, Gayle (Rick) Carter of Porter, IN, and Barb (Bob) Bumgardner of LaPorte, IN; her 17 grandchildren; and by her 27 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Kathleen and Anita; her sons, Steven and Matthew; by her grandson, Donald Dewar; and by her great-grandson, Kole Thomas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 1 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Fr. Nathaniel Edquist officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Alice was a member of the American Legion Post 170 and belonged to the Women’s Auxiliary. Memorial donations may be given to the family. Memories may be shared at: www.whitelovefuneralhome.com.
