Obituary A. Betty Jelus, 91, of Mt. Carmel, PA passed away July 28, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Mt. Carmel on November 12, 1927 the daughter of the late Warren and Mabel (Klawitter) Zimmerman. Betty worked at the Kraft plant and also Packaging Resources. She enjoyed camping and going to the beach with her whole family. She was married to the late Will Jelus in the Grace UCC, and he along with her family were the loves of her life. Along with her parents and husband, preceding Betty in death was her sister: May Sauer. Surviving are daughters: Linda wife of Joseph Revinski of Mt. Carmel; and Karen wife of Dave Clark of MD. Grandsons: Jason and Brett. Nieces and nephews. There are no words to express the loss of our mother after having her for 91 years, but empty seems to sum it all up. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Grace UCC, Mt. Carmel with Rev. Joan Brown officiating. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Viewing 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, August 1 at Rothermel-Heizenroth Funeral Services, Mt Carmel and 10:00-11:00 AM Friday, August 2 at the Grace UCC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Grace UCC 136 E 3rd St, Mt Carmel, PA 17851. Rothermel-Heizenroth Funeral Services, Mt. Carmel is in charge of the arrangements.
