Richard H. Morris Mr. Richard H. Morris passed away April 30, 2019. He was born to John Hamilton and Dora Lee Richards Morris in Whitesburg, GA on May 13, 1932. Mr. Morris worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years with a two-year interruption serving in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr. Richard was an avid golfer and was once voted most improved player at White Oak Golf Course. He loved to travel and experienced countries all over the world. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Carlynn Lovvorn, Eleanor Goodroe, Lorraine Warren, and Mildred Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maxine Hines Morris. Surviving children are son, Ronald Morris and daughter, Janet Jennings (Michael). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Historic Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Newnan with Rev. Andy Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mr. Morris’ memory at www.stjude.org/donate.
