Obituary of Judy M. Mills Judy M. Mills Canandaigua, NY Judy M. Mills, 73, wife of the late Joseph Mills, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019, at the M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. Judy was born on February 14, 1946, in Batavia, NY. She was predeceased by parents, Robert and Beatrice Cassada and grandson Dylan Gendreau. She is survived by Peggy Gochenaur of Bloomfield, devoted companion and caretaker; daughters Stacey (Paul) Pakusch of Greece, Wendy Mills and Michael Rudd of Hilton; grandsons Jordon Gendreau and Robert (Robbie) Gendreau; brother Richard (Michele) of Avon and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Judy graduated from Geneseo High School in 1964. She married her husband, Joe, July 1, 1967, and together they managed the Big M in Bushnell’s Basin. Eventually they became proud owners of the Mendon Big M for ten years. Judy also earned three associate degrees from Monroe Community College. As a member of the Central Western Zone, Judy enjoyed officiating college and high school volleyball, basketball and softball. She and Angie Sansevero were the first females to officiate women’s basketball in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY. She loved to be outdoors and enjoyed swimming, skiing and boating. Judy also loved traveling…Africa, Bahamas, England, Hawaii, Paris, Switzerland, and Cruising. As all of Judy’s friends know, whenever anyone asked what time it was, she would always look up at the sun and say, “It’s Miller Time!” Thank you to the staff at the M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, Gardens Avenue for all the care you gave Judy in the last year. You were always there through the laughs, the tears and everything in between… she loved you all. Family and friends may call Saturday, May 4, from 1 -3 at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua, NY; her memorial service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Corey Keyes presiding. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, Gardens Avenue, 350 Parrish Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
