Charles’ Obituary Charles E. Odell, 85, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 24. Born in Buffalo, NY. He and his family moved to Skaneateles, NY when he was a child. He graduated Skaneateles High School with the class of 1951 and was a member of the football and basketball team. Charles served his country as a part of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He attended college at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana before returning to the Central New York area to work as a salesman. He lived in Clifton Park, NY and Cooperstown, NY before settling in the Syracuse area. He was a lifetime member of the Camillus Elks Lodge and served as a two-time Exulted Ruler and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He had a passion for Syracuse University sports and a love of history. Charles was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Charles is predeceased by his sister June Joyce and son Jim Odell. Survived by his wife Carol (Smith), his son John (Audrey) Odell of Camillus, and daughters Susan (Raymond) Brown and Ann (David) Bridge of Baldwinsville along with eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be from 9 to 10 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 10 am Saturday May 11, 2019 at St Augustine’s Church, 7333 O’Brien Road Baldwinsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Camillus Elks Lodge 6117 Newport Rd, Camillus, NY 13031. Read More
