Obituary of James P Parillo James Paul Parillo “Pappy”, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Washington Center in Argyle surrounded by his family. Born February 9, 1925 in Saratoga Springs, NY he was the son of the late James Anthony Parillo and Edith Parillo Scuderi. James was a graduate of Schuylerville High School and served in the US Navy from 1943-45. He worked most of his life as a bartender in numerous area bars and was loved by all his customers. He enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his long-time partner, Anna May Andrews of Granville; daughters, Sharon Ahola (late Bob) of Greenwich, Cindy LaPoint (Mike) of Wilton, and Tracy Parillo (Paul Hyjek) of Lithia, FL; sons, Jim Parillo (Helen Trombley) of Wilton, Mike Parillo of Nashua, NH, Bill Parillo (Mary Ann) of Victory Mills, and David Parillo (Janet) of San Marcos, CA; grandchildren, Mike Thibodeau (Chihaya) of Seattle, WA, Scott Thibodeau of St. Mary’s, GA, Jamie Parillo (Chris) of Salem, Kelly O’Rourke (Scott) of Burnt Hills, Krescenda Strew (Shane) of Eustis, FL, Nicholas Parillo and Nina Parillo, both of San Marcos, CA; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11am Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. A celebration of Pappy’s life will follow at the American Legion, Clancy St., Schuylerville. There will be no calling hours. Memorials can be made in his memory to the Old Saratoga Post #278 American Legion, 6 Clancy St., Schuylerville, NY 12871.
