Ms. Gladys Smith Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Spring Bluff Baptist Church in Big Caine, LA, for Ms. Gladys Smith, 91, who entered eternal rest, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bishop Melvin Jackson will officiate the service. Ms. Smith is survived by a son, Herman Smith (Floria) of Houston, TX; a brother, Columbus Smith (Katherine) of Cottonport, LA; a sister, Delores Cotton of Alexandria, LA; four grandchildren, Tawana Smith (Henry Duncan) of Sugarland, TX, Sheryl Smith of Houston, TX, Christina Smith of Houston, TX and Christopher Smith (Cowanda) of Houston, TX; eight great grandchildren, Presleigh, Christopher Jr., Cordell, Patrick, Johnathon, Brianna, Cameron and Carmelo and a host of extended family members and friends. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her son, James Lee Smith; parents, Jessie Smith & Roser Ford Smith; three brothers, Jessie Smith, Jr., Willie Smith, Sr. and Arthur Smith and a sister, Mamie Swafford. Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Spring Bluff Baptist Church.
