Claude Everette (Bud) Willis Jr, age 78, of Rogersville, TN, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 unexpectedly at his home. Bud was born on March 1, 1941. He was the son of the late Claude and Ethel Willis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Willis; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Joe and Mary Willis; sister and brother-in-law, Madalyn and John Frazier; sister, Barbara Tedder; mother-in-law, Frances Fain; and sister-in-law, Joan Crowe. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Fain Willis; daughter, Laura Willis; two sisters, Jean Willis and Ann Kassem and husband Sam; brother-in-law, Maynard Tedder and wife Nancy; sister-in-law, Carol Eidson and husband Joel; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Riley. Bud was a graduate of Rogersville High School, Class of 1959, and attended East Tennessee State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. His hobbies were beekeeping and gardening, in which he generously shared the vegetables he grew. Bud will be best remembered as a kind and giving person who always helped others and was devoted to his family and friends. Receiving of friends will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Carr officiating and eulogists, the Honorable Bill Jenkins and Jonathan Willis Frazier.
