Born July 9,1924 at Buck Hill Falls, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary C. Vogt. A graduate of Barrett High School, she was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church and the Barrett Township Historical Society. Also an avid golfer, Bertha was a member of Shawnee Women’s Golf Association and Glen Brook Women’s Golf Association for over 40 years. Bertha is survived by her daughter, Debra Ann Tandarich and Debra’s husband Gerald of Coatsville, PA; her grandchildren, Marcia, Daniel, Jon, and Cheryl; grandson, Andrew David Deihl, son of the late David C. Deihl; and great grandsons, Coleman and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Joseph; sister, Mary Vogt; and son David C. Deihl. She is buried in the “Gates of Heaven” section of Laurelwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be may to St. Luke’s Church, or a charity of one’s choice. Note from Grandson Andrew D Deihl: My grandmother was the matriarch of our family, the rock which we all confided and received advice from. Her dedication to this family was unprecedented, and her will to keep the family name preserved and respected was always a priority. This level of respect and dedication to ones lineage has been lost though the years, although she fought to preserve it. I will continue to fulfill her journey. Read More
