Obituary for Jack Eugene Jackson Jack Eugene Jackson, 77, of Lafayette, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Jack was born on October 18, 1940 in Lafayette, Indiana, to Floyd E. and Jane L. (Rhoda) Jackson. He married Carol (Neff) Jackson on July 31, 1971. They were married for 46 years. He was employed at Ivy Tech Community College as a Maintenance Technician. Jack served in the United States Army from 1960-1962. Jack was a member of the VFW, 40-8 and the American Legion. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Jack was the person that could light up a room. He had a beloved cat named Thomas that was everywhere he was. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Scott (Dana) Jackson, Melisa (Mike) Wooten of Lafayette, Jeanette (Scott) Conner of Lafayette. Sister; Nancy Banta, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; Dekota (Sebastian) Curless, Jordan and Harley Wooten, Christopher Jackson, Cierra Jackson, Cassee Denham, Troy Winchester, Kimberly Ann Jackson, Allen, Katlynn and James Conner, five step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Paul Jackson, Grandson; Nathan Conner, brother; Don Jackson and sister; Sharon Garretson. A Celebration of Jack’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
