Mr. Larry Dean Laney, 74, of Lancaster passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation. He was born May 29, 1947 in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Jerry Asbury Laney and Kathleen Starnes Jordan. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Laney will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Jenkins officiating. Mr. Laney is survived by his wife, Debbie Adams Laney of Lancaster; two sons, Jeff Laney and his wife Sheila of Monroe, NC and Tony Wynn of Goldsboro, NC; four daughters, Shannon Roberts and her husband Tony and Crystal Richardson all of Lancaster, Toni Richardson of Tennessee and Rita Morris and her husband Ronnie of Monroe, NC; four brothers, Bobby Laney and his wife Cathy of Monroe, Tim Laney and his wife Belinda, James Laney and Arnold Laney all of Lancaster; two sisters, Lottie L. Watkins of Monroe, NC and Joyce Jenkins and her husband Ricky of Ruby. Ten grandchildren, Logan Roberts, Kevin Wadell, Chris Wadell, Chase Wadell, Alex Sutherland, Misty Webb, Kayla Laney, Amber Young and Brittany Morris; and a number of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Wayne Laney and Tracy Laney; and a sister, Linda Laney. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Lancaster Funeral Home. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Laney.
