James Gene Bunker July 09, 1945 – August 28, 2021 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card James Gene Bunker Passed away August 28, 2021. Jim was born in Marinette Wisconsin on July 9, 1945. He was the son of Eugene V. and Matilda A. (Alobodnik) Bunker. He married Karen Jones on November 12, 1966. To this marriage, three sons were born: Jimmy, John, and Joey. Later in life he met Ellen Anthony, to which three sons were born: Billy, Nick, and Larry. Jim was part owner of Lake Street Lumber. After Jim retired he would visit his parents’ graves to talk to them and pay his respects. To Jim, family was everything. Jim enjoyed going to his favorite hangout, the Duck Inn Waddle Out Bar. There he would sip a cold PBR and relax with friends. Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR. Whether it was a new race or a re-run, he loved to watch it. Jim is survived by his sons, Jimmy, John, and Joey (Sierra), all of Mitchell South Dakota, Billy, Nick, and Larry Anthony, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan. His grandchildren, whom he adored: Shylah, Amber Stulken, Heather, Hailey Bunker, Charlie, and Jaxon Bunker, all of Mitchell South Dakota; Margaret Medicine Horn, Sioux Falls South Dakota; and Nathan Anthony of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Devin (Alexis) Tyler, Rhiannon (Larry) Wright, of Michigan; Jacob Trenton Bunker of California; Elizabeth Ellen Mary Anthony. His two sisters: Kathy Bunker of Texas and Diane LaCrosse of Michigan. His niece: Nicole Bunker of Michigan. He was preceded by his parents Eugene and Matilda, Ellen Anthony, and his brother Terry.
